The “sketch book”
1. The sketch book records
your every-day journal type entries.
These are discoveries or comments that are
noted as written entries.
2. The sketch book records your investigation
or research notes. Use
the research data record forms.
3. The sketch book should also include all of the various teacher
hand out sheets.
4. The sketch book records your thumbnail sketches
and concept design plans.
The sketch book records your progress journal
(keep a record in an informal way.) The sketch book/notebook should
not be left until the end of the quarter to work on. This defeats its
useful purpose.

for its difficulty level and of sufficient 8 weeks of time available.

HINTS to prepare FOR
ON-CAMERA video PRESENTATION
My camcorder may be used but only in class.
1. Plan your script or shooting sequence.
2. Plan how will you make your statements?
Direct narrative? or interview?
Talk about your work. Be clear and easy to
understand speak loudly and clearly.
3. Plan to use camera close-ups of the work;
Pan SLOWLY Don’t rush the art details.
4. If your work is good you will need to show
what is good with the camera lens.
5. The video should be at least 5 minutes long.

6. Select an appropriate location with adequate
and interesting light sources.
