Christmas
Squirrels
12-25-2011
By Gary N. Skorheim
Christmas
Squirrels sprint the lawn
Finding summer food all gone.
Continue play and search for dinner
Enjoying life, while growing thinner.
I
will feed these flighty friends
Till spring their daily need attends.
As they debark my largest tree
My close movements make them flee.
These
little squirrels I thought my foe;
But watching how they climb and go,
They teach to stay alert, and thrive,
To spread God's love while I'm alive.
