N This project is the last and the easiest of the revisions to the art analysis project. N Completing this paper is an important achievement and required for 8th Grade Art. N You will be comparing 3 famous pictures done by 3 different artists and styles. N All students will write about the same three. Because of this, you must not share your ideas, information or reactions to the questions as we look at them day by day. N You will do the paper in two stages: Part 1 Writing answers in class as we discuss topics related to a subject "heading." Part 2, will be typing and editing your notes and statements written in class. N You will have a little over one week to complete this project. There will be 3 pictures displayed. We will closely examine and compare each as we go through the discussion points below. You will notice that all 3 works are different in style and technique from each other. You will be describing and talking about unique and different features of each. You will also try to understand the intentions of the artist and what the picture is about. You will also be given the opportunity to see in "visual terms" and not merely name the thinks you see. Visual Elements exist even when you look at realistic images. Key ideas for the interpretation and analysis discussion are listed below under topic "Headings." The complete report consists of four topic headings. THE ANSWERS YOU GIVE BELOW ARE THE BASIS FOR YOUR FINAL REPORT. YOUR TEACHER WILL NOT SUPPLY YOU WITH ANSWERS BUT WILL GUIDE YOU THROUGH EACH TOPIC AND ALLOW YOU TO WRITE YOUR BEST IDEAS WHICH RELATE TO THE STUDY QUESTIONS. YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE NAMES OF THE WORK, THE ARTIST, DATE AND STYLE as a starting point. Begin your notebook entries by filling out the information below. 1(Title of Work) Artist:________________________ Date: ____ Art Style (Art
